Anaesthetics Nurses/ODP (Operating department practitioners) in UK

We currently have exciting opportunities for experienced Anaesthetic Nurses / ODPs to join our committed Theatre team at a private hospital in the following locations, Surrey, Manchester, Essex, Birmingham, Oxford, Peterborough and Lincolnshire.

Our Theatre department are extremely busy, working with Consultants from a wide range of clinical disciplines. You will have the opportunity to broaden your nursing experience by managing a stimulating case mix which includes the following:


• Orthopaedics
• General surgery
• ENT
• Gynaecology
• Urology
• Bariatrics
• Cosmetic procedures
• Ophthalmology
• Gastroenterology
• Respiratory
• Cardiac
• Renal
As a professional member of our team your key responsibilities will include:

• Assessment planning
• Implementing and evaluating care
• Wound care
• Drug administration
• Problem solving
• Managing your own workload

It is essential that the ideal candidate will have:

• Current Anaesthetic / ODP experience
• Current registration with the NMC (UK)
• Comprehensive understanding of relevant clinical standards
• Excellent communication skills – written and oral
• Excellent customer care skills
• A good standard of computer literacy
• The ability to work within a team
• The ability to time-manage
• The ability to work under pressure
• Willingness to be flexible during periods of low activity and work extra hours where re-quired
• Ability to work shift patterns including days, nights, weekends, bank holidays and on-calls

Hours: Full-time (37.5 hours per week)
Shifts: Variable to include early mornings, middle shifts, evenings, weekends and on-calls
Salary: £27,000 -£32,000
